At Dessin Academy, our Fundamental Course – Level 1 introduces young learners to the magical world of drawing and colouring. This course is thoughtfully designed for kids based on assessment, age, and grade, helping them build confidence and creativity through fun, structured art lessons.
Over 8+ months (based on the child’s potential), students will explore the basics of colouring, drawing, and composition, using engaging methods that make learning both enjoyable and educational.
Our curriculum is designed to develop creativity, observation, and fine motor skills through playful learning.
1. Name of Colours – Learning to identify primary, secondary, and complementary colours.
2. Applying Colours – Understanding neat and proper colour application techniques.
3. Oil Pastel Techniques – Exploring texture, tone, and blending using oil pastels.
4. Lines and Shapes – Learning to draw simple lines, curves, and geometric shapes.
5. Drawing Using Simple Lines and Shapes – Creating objects, animals, and scenes by combining basic shapes.
6. Cartoons – Fun cartoon drawing sessions to spark imagination and storytelling.
Each topic is taught through interactive activities, creative worksheets, and step-by-step drawing exercises, ensuring a strong artistic foundation.

Moorthy and awarded by our Directors. As many as we conduct competitions and send the child to an outer state for competitions. Each child is an artist this is our slogan. The child who loves to draw is a creator in the world., Whenever the child enters our branch she or he feels like he or she is flying in the air and never misses it. S Bharathi MA.economics, she run this academy for the past 11 years and she has also completed DFA with distinction. She also runs a Playschool which was the first school in Thiruverkadu for 12 years. She is a very kind and caring person who can also mingle with all kinds of people. She spends most of her time with the kids in her school Art is her passion and she can make every child creative. She has finished her Montessori teacher training.
