About
the Artist:
Well, my
name is Anusuya and I am a passionate artist living in Villupuram District,
Tamilnadu. As a formal mathematics graduate, I have had a lifelong interest
in art. After some exploring and self-learning, I joined Dessin Academy
Chennai and earned a DFA from Dr. J. Jayalalitha Music and Fine Arts
University Chennai. I am now pursuing an ADFA under the guidance of Mr. R.
Rajendran master. For me, art and nature are all about perspective. As a
village girl, I believe I am readily inspired by the landscape around me.
Dawn's charm, a water canal alongside a farming field, and pure well water
after rain, sunsets, and twilights never fail to inspire me. My next level of
inspiration came from Leng Jun's hyperrealistic paintings. Colours are my
joy, and I'd like to focus more on realistic paintings and pencil portraits.
In a nutshell, I was a young artist who was inspired by colours and nature.

This
beautiful scene from Mahabharata is called Partha Sarathi: ‘Lord Krishna, the
friend and charioteer of Arjuna’. It was originally made by Douglas Ball in the 1970s. He is an American painter born in 1950. He has made many paintings on
the theme of Indian Vedic Art. This painting depicts the friendship and devotion
between Lord Shri Krishna and devotee Arjuna. The beauty, uniqueness,
dynamism and artistic challenges of this painting made me recreate it. |

About

I
recreated the painting of AUGUSTE CHARPENTIER. He was a 19th-century painter.
He was born in 1813. He was a French artist from 1833_1880. He was a famous
PORTRAITIST who explored the glowing beauty of girls and women. I got inspired by the way of elegance and
softness in his art and I chose his work. The fascinating artistic techniques
in the old masterpiece inspire me to make my phenomenal efforts. |

“Self-portrait
in a Straw Hat”, 1782 by Élisabeth Louise Vigée Le Brun, a French painter who
specialized in Portrait Painting in the 18th and 19th centuries. Her artistic style is generally considered
as the Rococo and Neoclassical style. I am very
much inspired by this self-portrait painting which helped me to understand
old master techniques and unique composition of portrait, color values, and
also the versatile medium of oil painting. |

About
the Artist:
True
Passion knows no time frame. When my painting gave me immense pleasure to
look at, I found my passion for arts and followed it. My hobby turned to
passion and pushed me to complete a diploma and advance painting course from
Dessin Academy. Working with different mediums and textures has opened a
lot of new avenues to explore and grow as an artist. In this fast pacing world
where everything changes drastically in a minute, I found my solace in
painting.
About
the Painting:
Painting
is one medium where one expresses a lot of emotions without spelling it out
loud. The endurance of a woman is unmatched and the miracle of childbirth
signifies how gifted and powerful each woman is! The Annunciation painting by
Philippe de Champaigne captured my interest as it depicts how God has chosen
women to carry and bring Him into the world to make Earth a better place for
all. The endurance of Mary is unmatched and shows God stands by the person who
believes in HIM."Maddona and the Child" by Vincenzo Foppa is another
example of the strong will of a mother who is heartbroken by knowing the
fate of her child, yet loves HIM with full of her heart.
