Mime Gopi (Actor)
Mime Gopi (born K. Gopinathan) is an Indian stage and film actor who has appeared in predominantly Tamil films, including Madras (2014), Kathakali (2016), and Kabali (2016).
He already acted in Saravanan Meenatchi season 1, along with Mirchi Saravanan as a money launderer. Before entering the film industry, Gopi was a renowned mime actor in Chennai and headed G Mime Studio, which exhibited the art form. In his role, he worked closely with children with special needs to help them adapt to miming skills. The actor celebrates every birthday and festival by doing charity work across Tamil Nadu. He also contributed money to the local celebrations of religious organisations. He is an inspiration to the upcoming theatre actors. He had set up the studio in 1994 and had worked to expand the art across Chennai.
He shot to fame with director Pa. Ranjith's Madras (2014), and he gave notable performances in Maari (2015), Maya and Kabali (2016). He has been working in Bairavaa (2017) with Vijay. Gopi has stated that his biggest regret in life as a growing actor is that he couldn't act in Seyal (2018). The actor disclosed that though he was approached earlier for the role of a villain, he couldn't accept the offer as he was shooting for another film. But now, after seeing the film in a private screening, the actor feels like he has missed out on a fantastic role.

The show also aimed at making the participants household names, therefore, this show had a massive fan following among teenagers.
Akalya was privileged to host a TV show in this manner that gained immense priority amongst the youth. Every day a new, young VJ was introduced on this TV show, and the participants were not only articulate but even spontaneous as they became the faces of new VJs for a day. Calling the youths as ‘Oru Naal VJ’ was added to an individual’s profile. Akalya is now a star of stars, wowing millions of upcoming VJs who want to appear in her TV show. The show ‘Oru Naal VJ’ is the only route available for promising youngsters to fulfil their dream of becoming a VJ.
The show explains that even if one has no background in TV or films, one can still become a VJ. Thus, the presenter of the show, Akalya Venkatesan, got a fair amount of public attention through her innovative show. She is happy and proud to host such a show. ‘Oru Naal VJ’ is a live programme that certainly enhances a youth’s skill to become a future Video Jockey and builds confidence amongst the youth.
